SolarCity was founded with the mission to help millions of homeowners and businesses adopt solar power, protect themselves from rising electricity costs and protect their environment from polluting power sources. We have assembled one of the most experienced solar design and installation teams in the U.S., including NABCEP-certified electricians, experienced roofers and integrators for large-scale projects.

SolarCity's customers include thousands of homeowners,  more than 75 schools and universities, government agencies such as the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and Department of Homeland Security, national landmarks such as San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, and well-known corporate clients, including Intel, British Motors, and eBay.

Innovating an Industry

A number of SolarCity innovations are quickly becoming solar industry standards. Our groundbreaking SolarLease offering can make it possible for homeowners to switch to clean, solar power for less money than they currently pay for electricity. Our community program model has helped more than 30 communities adopt solar collectively, and has been adopted across the industry as a way to advance affordable solar adoption. SolarCity's project management and performance monitoring systems scale to support millions of users, and provide our customers a real-time view of their net energy consumption and carbon footprint.

We plan to expand to 10 additional states by the end of 2010 and be America's leading provider of affordable, clean power for many years to come.
