Raised in Berkeley, California. I have spent the majority of my building career doing remodels from San Francisco to Orinda with an eye to preserving the wonderful individualism and sense of community which I think sets this area apart from anywhere in the world.

Working in an alliance with homeowners towards a common goal of a reasonable budget and an honest schedule, allowing for change along the way and with thorough financial statements I have forged great relationships with all of my clients. Communication and management of client’s expectations has always been a cornerstoneof what I believe to be the fundamentals of good contracting and great craftsmanship.

I strive to hire honest, well-compensated, long-term employees not as a business plan but as a means to building a culture of respect and family.

Furthermore and most importantly I strive to be competitive cost-wise, I use one of the top estimators in California who is directly keyed into prevailing costs of both labor and materials. With up to date, state of the art estimating and an intimate knowledge of my company, together, my estimator and I can give a realistic idea of the actual cost to do your project.

Finally we aim to be a green company. We will give alternatives to “non–green” products and their comparative costs whenever possible. We recycle whatever we can and are currently involved in getting certified to do solar and hydronic systems again not as a business plan, but as my commitment to stewardship of what valuable natural resources we have left.
